Could Lil' Pete be setting down roots? We've moved into a light and airy space, it's sunny and warm and feels safe. The kid likes it, the dog likes it, I like it and now.... apparently... Lil' Pete likes it too. He is doing better on a sunny warm window sill. But now that he's rooting... now what?? I wonder how long I should wait until I plant him in a pot?
I see this as a good sign Ann! I think your life is taking a positive turn!
ReplyDeleteI agree Blake. And hey, I even have Basil growing on the window sill too. It's the little things huh.
ReplyDeleteLil' Pete is ready now. Peel off some of the bottom leaves, about 1 to 2 inches. This is best to do before putting it in the water. But since you didn't, it'll be fine. Lil' Pete will produce only one pineapple and it'll take about 18 months. Remember he's a tropical plant and won't take the frost or snow. Keep him warm and he'll be happy. Fertilizer once in a while after he's in the ground will help a lot too.
ReplyDeleteOh, he's got quite a bit of roots now, so I'm gonna just stick him into a big pretty pot and put him back on that sunny window sill! I'm excited!
